Comments on "Impact of phacoemulsification on choroidal and ganglion cell complex thickness assessed by spectral-domain optical coherence tomography"
We read with great interest the article by Demir and Çelik evaluating the effect of uncomplicated phacoemulsification on subfoveal choroidal thickness, ganglion cell complex thickness (GCCT), central macular thickness, and peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer thickness. The authors should be commended for addressing a clinically relevant question, particularly because postoperative optical coherence tomography (OCT) interpretation may influence the follow-up of patients with glaucoma and retinal or choroidal disorders.
